What we do
Spectrum is an integrated service of guidance, learning and progression support for vulnerable people with complex needs. Spectrum services include:
- Information, advice and signposting to opportunities and services
- Learning and employability needs assessment
- Education, volunteering and careers guidance
- One-to-one career planning and progression support
- Part time training programme – ‘Personal Power and Effectiveness’
- Help in accessing education, training, volunteering or job opportunities
- Extended aftercare support
A training programme
The 'Personal Power and Effectiveness' training programme is designed to build the self confidence, emotional intelligence, life management and work skills of individuals seeking to make positive changes in their lives and increase their life chances.
The Spectrum services and/or training programme can be used equally effectively by individuals who are new to learning, those preparing for moving into education, training or employment, or to complement learning or employability work being undertaken with other agencies.
Our partners
Spectrum works in partnership with Careers Scotland, City Literacy and Numeracy, Edinburgh Volunteer Centre, Second Chance to Learn, Biggar Adventure, HMP Edinburgh, employment intermediaries, homelessness and health agencies.
